Wapakoneta Ohio in Auglaize County has a 1003 at a water tower off of Maple Street. In the same county, there's an inactive 1003 across from the fire station in St. Mary's. It was too expensive to maintain and the director decided to replace it with a 2001-130.

Funny to think that only about 10 years ago, Thunderbolts were still pretty common.

Jeff from west shore told my dad that a town in Illinois bought 3 Tbolts from west shore. the 3 Tbolts were restored and (at the time) they where just shipped out to be put up in that Illinois town. So that adds 3 Tbolts left in service in illinois

I'm pretty sure a LOT of Thunderbolts are left in Illinois, so they aren't rare at all.

Last time I checked Bloomington, IL switched to Tempest sirens.

They still have quite a few T-bolts, running too.

That is true. I lived in Bloomington for quite a while. 8 Thunderbolts are still operational, 2 were replaced in my time there. (2011-2016) They also had a ACA Penetrator that just got recently replaced.

All of the Thunderbolts that I know of in Redford (Jaycee Park, East, North, and City Hall) are still in place and active last I checked. I heard a while ago they were due to be replaced but I guess Redford decided to keep the 'Bolts and use the 2001-130's as supplemental coverage.
