The Siren Board

This siren is at some old school building in Darbyville, Ohio, and I have seen it in person. It looks almost like a Federal vehicular siren, like a Model A.

Looks like a Model D.

What could they use it for anyways? Like a school bell for recess? A curfew alarm with it being in a neighborhood? I really don't know.

Also, on multiple sites, it IS listed as a tornado siren, and as I go to that area often, that is the only 'siren' I have seen. Pickaway County's warning system is nonexistent. Of all the times I go there to hunt, fish, or do other things, I don't see a single siren!

It was probably installed as a street clearing siren for a nearby fire station.

I was on one of my random street view sweeps of Memphis suburbs and I found this one in Somerville, TN. This is probably easily identifiable, I just am not very good with these types of sirens.

Yup, that's a Darley 3V8. Can't tell whether it's 8 or 12 port though; you'd think the model name would indicate 8 but I've seen a few with 12 ports too (3V12 maybe?).

It looks almost like a PA horn to me. Where is this at? I looks to be a school.
