Friday I spent a good chunk of time on the phone with the guys at ASC they looked at the board and think that 2 resistors and the transformer are the issues, I may also have a chip issue thats been causing some of the issues. After they got my pictures they're tech guy said they'd have to send my pics to the engineers.. Almost all the tech guys had said that the controls I have are older than what they thought or older than what they've seen. I'm starting to get the feeling that this might be from the first batch of 128s or something

If they give you the part numbers on the resistors and the transformer, I bet Tanner Electronics has them. They are on Valwood Pkwy just west of I-35 in Farmers Branch. If you want to stay with original ASC parts I understand.

The RTU is headed back to me tomorrow. I got away with about 96 bucks worth of repair after 2 resistors, 2 transistors and a Transformer plus labor. I've found out there is a pre-regulator board that i have but was never installed by Norman that prevents the AC power wire that powers the RTU board from carrying anything high than 50vdc. The issue came from years of that wire carrying 80vdc and causing parts to over heat and short. Still no reason for the AC side to of been disconnected other than a shorted wire. Someone really didn't do a good looking through when the siren was "Hit by lightning"

I got the control back yesterday, and boy its pretty now. Its been tested and is guaranteed to work properly. I'll be installing a new Pre-Regulator board to prevent the issue of too much voltage reaching the control unit. I'll have pics of the install and the re-install of the control unit soon. I'm hoping the first wednesday of august I'll be able to do a full test of the t-128 off the AC box.
