With a little bit of ingenuity I got the unit lifted off of the pallet and placed onto to the trailer. Looking at the trailer geometry now, I think I will move both the MD and trailer axle up about1-2 ft and then hack that same amount off of the back of the frame. Still not 100% on this decision yet. I'm trying to balance storage space with trailer stability. We'll ponder on this before making any decision in this regard. Until then we can now start reassembling the siren on the trailer

Did some more painting this morning. Gonna need quite a bit of filler primer on the shrouding. Put a good coat on it, will sand and then recoat again. This Rustoleum professional is good stuff. Flows and covers way better than the consumer grade stuff!

Little side project. Popping out the spider bearing. This supports the rotor shaft on the front. Got to drag out the ol white bread trick for driving bearings out of a blind hole. It's as easy as jamming crust-less white bread down the hole and then using a tight fitting socket and a BFH. The compressed bread acts like a super thick hydraulic fluid. It works amazingly well.

Right? That is what I thought as well. It's like brand new inside. Bearing is trash though. Was able to search up the part number 205PP on ebay. Was able to score a Made-in-USA Timken for only $11. All other places were quoting 30-40 brand new

Began mocking up/dry fitting the dog house/air shrouding. I'm beginning to see some potential future snafus. For one, if the fuel pump ever fails, one has to remove the doghouse side cover. However, in order to do that, one must remove the
Projector, chopper, stator, stator mounting plate, clutch housing. Ridiculous. Basically blow apart the whole siren. I think what I will do is cut the pump access hole bigger and make a bolt on play that covers the area so that if and when the pump fails, one can unbolt the cover and remove the pump.
