Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

I am pretty certain looking at the way it is mounted that is indeed a siren of some kind, possibly the Whirlwind that was already brought up... it appers to be mounted on 2 crossmembers attached to the roof. I have seen a few other sirens like this, most notably at Mount Aetna and Bethel, Pa... though those might have been Sterling K series sirens. Either way, looks to be a siren from where I am sitting.

Was there a point in posting that?
It was supposed to resemble how stupid that post from before was. Also to shadow me when I posted it if you know what I mean.

Of course it's a Federal Signal. But what model?

I think that's a Decot, but I could be wrong
My knowledge excels on the Federal Thunderbolt siren and SiraTone EOWS sirens. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Erick sirens have a single cover over the top of the whole siren, supported by a screen. This one has a smaller intake cover on top. I'm going with Decot.

It's neither an Erick nor a Decot, that's a Darley 3V8. Decots didn't have a motor that was directly affixed to the chopper, they used a separate shaft on the chopper that was connected the motor shaft via a coupler similar to a lovejoy/spider coupling. Ericks also don't have a motor that tall, they have a motor very similar to the ones used on Decots except they were directly affixed to the chopper.
