To me it looks to be a Sentry Defender.

Couple more I can't positively identify

My son says a Carter, I think more likely a horizontal Sterling or Federal but ??

This one is obviously a Darley of some type, but I've yet to locate a picture of it to id it. Zooming in, you can clearly read W.H. Darley on the tag, but I can't make out a model number.

Thanks!

First one is an early (1930s?) Federal Electric Type B, also known as the "Federal Fire Siren" or "Lion" which comes from the old advertisements Federal had out at the time, claiming it "roared like a lion". The second siren is W.S. Darley Company's re-branded Sentry F2 siren, catalog number R828.

That's a 2001 and what appears to be a vent.

On top of the post office in Camden, Maine. I'm not sure if it's a vent or a siren.

If it is a siren, what kind is it?

How can you tell? It kind of looks like a siren to me.

I think they could be hidden in the bottom if it's a siren. Do you think it could have been a siren at one point and they took the guts out?

No. It was always a vent.
