I don't know if this has been posted here before but we cant forget about the Amber thunderbolt (Its probably inactive because of the 16V1T-B next to it)

https://www.google.com/maps/@35.1606315 ... FQAw%3D%3D
The Thunderbolt is most likely active (as of 2016) because the siren's position moved over time, but if the siren rotates in the wind, that could happen too.It looks inactive because of the 16V1T-B next to it. I will confirm on a siren map.
EDIT: The siren map I looked at had no status of the 1000T.

The siren is probably inactive. The previous streetview from 2008 and 2013 doesn’t show the 16V in place.

Speaking of STL-10s, I was just reminded of a STL-10 I drove past while on my way to a site visit in Clarence Center, NY (near Buffalo):

https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZN7u66qJgDNGwqMz9

I'm guessing the siren isn't active considering the control box has been bashed up for at least 13 years.

Trains & Sirens of WNY actually did a short video about it this past December: https://youtube.com/shorts/DyhJugAVNwA? ... H7Y-2PZ-dD

Here is a low mounted Model 5/7 in Holcomb, MO. I've seen it in person, and it's pretty low, about twelve feet off the ground, and still active.

I have seen that one in person, it‘s not really mounted that way, the wires are cut. It's more of a display piece.
