Blowing Rock also recently installed an STH-10.

Good to hear! I had though that siren was removed forever, it was gone in 2019 Street View images
I visited Blowing Rock the past week, and the STH-10 was nowhere to be found. I think it was removed again.

Changed it back to a black pin.

I found another 2001 siren. I have no clue what this siren is for BUT it is active because I drove past it on aug 21 and than again on the 24 and it had moved. it is right past the bridge on the south side of mount island lake Image

Rocky Mount's city hall had the thunderbolt that is now at Gray's Creek VFD, per the chief sometime in the 90s(?) they paid around 350 dollars for it as it was taken down from the city hall. Apparently they paid someone from a university to wire it up which explains the mess of a control cabinet that the RCM is.

Interesting piece of history! I've updated the siren description accordingly

Interesting, the story I heard was that they got either their blower or their first unit from Louisburg, NC and then they got 3 from Shearon Harris when they replaced all their old stuff, put one of those heads on the Louisburg blower, and stored the other two.
