That's an Eric. The single tone Decot was a 15 port 1 1/2 horsepower siren and used a smaller version of the Decot "laundry basket" shroud.
Having seen examples of both sirens in person the similarity is quite astonishing.
I have seen a couple of these around the ritzier parts of Dallas. They are just cell sites but they look like some kind of RSH-10 from the 1890's or something.JasonC wrote:woodyrr wrote:This is the second one of these that I have seen in Dallas. It doesn't match any siren I have ever seen. If it is a siren, can someone tell me about it. If not, what do you suppose it is?

I apologize for the inelegant links, but I'm not ashamed to say that there is too much technology to keep up with.
Very interesting, but I don't think that's a siren. It looks to be some sort of camouflaged communications antenna (possibly for traffic cams or traffic light syncing).
That looks to be either some kind of rotational Allertronic, or just one custom ordered with one-directional horns. (Like the DSA)Siren_Dude wrote:Here is my Mystery siren, not sure what it is, but i think its some sort of of a siren.

What do you think it is?
Those last 2 pictures are either a Darley model 5 or 7.ACAP10 wrote:Went on vacation to Warroad, MN this weekend where they have this old looking siren that is in GREAT shape. They sound it for a noon, 6, and 10 pm blast everyday! I was in heaven! It sounded very healthy and was single tone and high pitched, but not as high pitched as a 2001. Any idea what it is?

Then I went to Gonvick, MN to a cabin and found this interesting siren. It was pretty tiny and I have no idea what it is. It was in the campgrounds by a bunch of trailers.
