Alright then. I'm going to go out there sometime and get that Thunderbolt, and the MOD. (The MOD has older Federal controls!)

Went past the Cheviot Fire Department today and noticed that the Werden P-127 is gone. I also went past the Green Township Senior Center and the Thunderbolt was still there. Also, the Oak Hills High School Thunderbolt is still there. It looks like The removal of the older sirens that have replacements has begun.

But the rest of the installations and upgrades should've all been done before any removals...I'm wondering if maybe the City of Cheviot paid to have the P-127 removed.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

The idiot EMA director spent the money that was supposed to cover removals on 30 additional sirens that we don't need (or at least that weren't in the original bid spec).

At this point I believe each municipality is responsible for removing their old sirens.

Was out near Montgomery today. Saw a T-128 at Keystone Park (Newer one), one at Pfiefer and Deerfield (Older one), and a T-128 replacing the SD-10 at Schroder High School. Ill upload pics soon. Still no progress on the downtown replacements...

Where's that? I can't seem to find any place named that.

It's actually called "Keystone Parke", which is a new business park they're building up off of Dana Avenue near I-71. I believe this is the siren in question: http://goo.gl/maps/k5MfH

That would be the replacement for the SD-10 in that area.

Today, while coming home from the Glendale area, I got off in Lockland to see if I could see the Thunderbolt that was on top of the Stearns and Foster building, but the street was blocked off a block away from the building, so I was unable to tell if the Thunderbolt was lying in the rubble. I'm sure you guys were already aware of this, but there is a T-128 installed at the I-75 south entrance/exit on South Cooper Avenue.

Hudepohl Brewery

Fri Oct 19, 2012 3:59 am

I saw on News 5 at 11 tonight that Hudepohl Brewery will be going up for auction. It will be interesting to see what happens to the Thunderbolt if it is still there.
