Ah. Probably inactive, but it could be part of a different township/system.

I think I found the Banshees that were installed in Pierce Township.

Possible Banshee #1: Hopper Hill Road and Marions Way, Pierce, OH

Possible Banshee #2: 39? 2'53.93"N 84?16'1.38"W

Niether have Street View, and I think Possible Banshee #2 might just be a Model 5(T) or 7(T). I'll see if I can't get up there this weekend.

And one more thing about Pierce Township. When I was out on the big Clermont County Siren Hunt, I stumbled upon a Thunderbolt just north of the intersection of Jenny Lind Road and South Ridge Drive, next to a cell tower. So I went home that day to map out the sirens on Google Earth, and when I came to this siren, there appeared to be an SD-10 there instead. (This was before Google Earths last update, the one that enabled us to see many of Hamilton County's new T-128s.) So I then went into Street View, to see the SD-10. But neither the siren nor the cell tower were there... The last Street View update was 2009, so what they did was put up the SD-10 for about three (Probably less!) years, then took it down and replaced it with a Thunderbolt... Just thought it was kinda weird.

(If you want to see the SD-10, adjust the date to 7/1/2010.)

Actually, I believe that "SD-10" is the Thunderbeam that Mrboojay owns. It was installed next to a cell tower, and the next year, the motor burned up after being stuck running for 30 minutes during a tornado warning in April 2011.

No, he replaced that Thunderbeam with a Thunderbolt. Saw the pics.

That's what I was trying to say. What 4J25 thought was an SD-10 was actually the Thunderbeam.

Here's a random picture of the Thunderbolt that used to be on top of Sands Montessori.

Oh, the stuff you can find digging through pictures from 2010. :P

While sitting at a red light today at the intersection of Hamilton Ave & Springdale Rd, I looked over at the T-128 at that intersection. As I'm sure you all know, ANS wrote the address for each location on the battery cabinet with a sharpie. I looked at what they wrote, which has been washed away some, and saw that it said McKelvey Rd on it. See how much ANS sucks, installing that siren to replace that Thunderbolt on the fire station rather than fill in the coverage gap that siren was for? And I think that Thunderbolt is still active, and was supposed to have a rooftop replacement originally of course.

Went to Cincinnati today and took a little siren hunt. Delhi RSH-10 and P-15 are standing without replacement, but I came across another P-15 with a T-128 by it. I also saw the downtown Thunderbolts, 2 SD-10s, 4 T-128s, and a 2001 at St. Joseph College. Anyone know if that ASC T-128 at Line and Plau Roads replaced anything?

That RSH-10 and P-15 aren't supposed to have their own replacements, decommissions only. That other P-15 near it was pretty sick for a few years.

Do you mean the T-128 at Vine St & Pfau Ave? According to the installation bid packet, that is the replacement for the Thunderbolt on top of Wyoming Middle School up the street. Though there used to be a Thunderbolt on top of Hartwell Elementary across the street, but was removed in late 2008.

Sirens

Thu Dec 13, 2012 4:49 am

Has anyone seen a siren in Norwood? The replacement is supposed to go on top of the Norwood Municipal Building and I have not seen any in Norwood. Also I have not seen the electronics or the Justice Center siren go up yet. ANS is not putting them on buildings since I brought up the dangerous instability of the roof mount of ASC.
