Norwood T-128 is now installed

Thu Jan 31, 2013 7:46 pm

The Norwood T-128 is now installed. I saw it while driving through Norwood today. This siren is the replacement for the Thunderbolt on top of the Salvation Army building. It is not yet collected to the electric though.

Here is the approximate location:

So it's right across from their municipal building, where they originally planned on roof-mounting it.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

Of course the placement of the siren was wrong, most of the new ones that have been installed were installed in bad locations. The one at the Mount Airy Water Tower on North Bend Road especially.

If Werden Electric would have installed them, they would have been installed in the right location the first time.

Not specifically related to Cincinnati/Hamilton County, but still considered by some to be the "Cincinnati area"...

I was looking at random rural fire departments today and found what appears to be a Loudon Communications Master Blaster in Patriot, Indiana. At first I thought it was a T-121, but then I noticed it only had 4 horns. Unfortunately, it's an hour away from me, so I don't see myself getting pictures of it anytime soon, but it's still an unusual find.

Also, which "model x" is that on top of the fire station?

So did I. Apparently they're in Indiana as well (possibly the same dealer as the ones in Kentucky?).
