At first I thought it was a T-121, but then I noticed it only had 4 horns. Unfortunately, it's an hour away from me, so I don't see myself getting pictures of it anytime soon, but it's still an unusual find.

Also, which "model x" is that on top of the fire station?
It's a shame they're so woefully quiet, with as big of a siren as they really are. They look neat but they are one of the most inefficient electronic sirens I've ever seen/heard (yes, even worse than an ATI). They still rely on a 120VAC amplifier for acoustical power, even though everything else (controller, relays, etc) is run off of a 12VDC power supply, thus hindering the possibility of battery backup. If they even just had that feature, they might not be so bad of a siren.

I found a siren I never knew about. I don't think this is part of the system.

This siren is right to the right of the road as you turn left at the bottom of Anderson Ferry Drive. This looks like it is used for warning if anything goes wrong with the oil company behind it. I never knew this was here, we have passed by it a few times.

Cool, another hidden gem in Hamilton County. Definitely wasn't ever a part of the system.

So, I saw on Local 12 news at 5:00 that sirens in Hamilton were set off false alarmingly while somebody was working on their system today after having their system malfuction on Wednesday.

Nice find! I wonder how many other plant sirens there are around town. There are quite a few chemical plants around here.

Andy - I was wondering what was going on with the test on Wednesday, as I don't recall hearing anything at all here.

I didn't hear anything today either.

I was referring to the city of Hamilton in Butler County. It seems that Hamilton County's tested fine actually.

Ah. That would explain why I didn't hear anything yesterday.

How did it malfunction? Did it just not go off? We were planning on going there for a recording, glad we didn't make it.

I've been told about a new T-128 in Spring Grove Village, at a small park on Mellwood Ave, replacing the Thunderbolt 1000 on the Circle Ave fire station.
