Last Wednesday I was off from work, so I drove past the Cincinnati Fire Department on Erie Avenue, and saw no replacement for the Thunderbolt on top of the Fire Department.

I also drove past the Calhoun Hall Thunderbolt and saw no replacement for this siren either.

It will be interesting to see where they put the replacements for these sirens. However, I'm sure they won't be put where they were supposed to be according to the packet.

Thanks for the info. That would apparently be this park: http://goo.gl/maps/1CKUI

And yet the local news media doesn't seem to care.

If I were in the county's position, I would've had a clause in the contract saying that the company would have to pay a penalty for each thing not done right and/or each day that the project went beyond its stated completion date.

I also find it ironic that the day after the project was supposed to be complete, this area saw some of the worst storms in history. We're just lucky that the worst part hit mostly rural areas.

Is the ASC T-128 at Mount Echo Park replacing Both the Mount Echo Park SD-10 and that other Ball Park SD-10 by the River?

I guess you could say that, as the bid packet for the installations says "no replacement siren at this location" for the one by the river.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

I mean, there only like 1/4 of a mile from each other, so I agree.

Drove past the Blue Rock Street T-128 in Northside today. There was a power-line connected to it, however, the main power switch was still turned off.

So one company won't let the other one touch the power box, or does ANS want to inspect things again before they turn the power on?

It'll be interesting to see how well I can hear the T-128 compared to the old TBolt. The T-128 is slightly closer to my house, but with the main business district and the big apartment building there, I'm not sure how well the sound will carry compared to the roof-mounted TBolt.

What part of town are you going to be in, and is there anything in particular you want to see? We can point you in the direction of some of the more interesting sirens...
