Well, my dad was in Cincinnati this past week. He said he saw something on the news about sirens on Channel 5 Cincinnati. I looked on the website, and found nothing.

It was actually Channel 19, as I mentioned above. Looks like they don't have the story on their website.

Oh, well he said it was Channel 5 Cincinnati so I went with that. Must have been Channel 19.

He probably saw it on Channel 19, and then changed to Channel 5 after seeing that FOX-19 news isn't that good. I hope everyone in Cincinnati realizes that.

Yea, possibly. Did the sirens go off this week for the watches and warnings? My dad said there was a Tornado Warning for Hamilton County....

He must be mistaken, as I don't think we ever had one. He could've heard about Hamilton County in a different state though.

Oh, he was in a different county at the time, but he was driving to Sharonville. Maybe it's in that case.

Went past the T-128 on Blue Rock Street today and the main power switch is still turned off, and it has been up and connected to the electric for at least a three months now.

What is taking them so long to flip the switch and put it into to service?

They wait till they have a lot to do they come from New Jersey. EMA cares less about it. In fact Dana won an award for a good job on the siren installation and it is only 14 months behind schedule.

That is ridiculous that is this far behind schedule. I drove downtown one day last week past Paul Brown Stadium and the Purple People Bridge (according to a Fox 19 news report), where two Voice-Capable sirens are supposed to go and did not see any. With the Reds playing now and people being on the Banks since the weather is finally getting nicer, sirens are really needed down there for when bad storms move in or there is some other emergency.
