Crackpot myth
The rotor for a 10/12 500 should've been the same for a 10/12 SD-10, as their 9/12 rotors do. However, the SD-10 is 18 in. In diameter and the 10/12 500 is about 24 in. In diameter (I think). Jeb/Ian can confirm it better than I can

I'm pretty sure the 10/12 SD-10 was just a myth or a prototype that never made it off the factory floor. Strange thing is, the B & N 10/12 rotor looks just like an SD-10 rotor except it has 4 vanes in the middle and one extra port on the low tone side. It's even the same dimensions as the SD-10 rotor. The only difference is the brand of motor they used and the way they attached the stator to the motor ("J" pump flange).
