How could you forget the 404 noise not found siren? It was completely silent.

I know this is off topic from the original post, but I wonder if Hawaii will do pre-recorded messages for their tests and activations once the entire system is electronic. Also note, I'm not completely sure why they chose to purchase a few ASC I-Forces, as they have now fitted them too with UV controllers.

They've already started using prerecorded messages on their Modulators... kinda. It sounds like they have a phone hooked up to the mic jack on the panel. Notice the water drop sound just before it starts talking. Credit to the uploader.

They have their sirens setup to activate over the cell system (idiotic IMO), so most of the sirens were retrofitted with FCs and UVs to comply; that's why even sirens with MC and MCP controllers now have a UV. I think the focus now is to keep the 1212s, Mods, DSAs, and iForces up and replace the 612s along anything else that's mechanical.

From what i recall, they also have satellite activation, the old system relied on a network of repeaters strung along the island, which wasn't very reliable and was prone to failure due to so many components being involved. In this situation cellular and satellite is a good idea.

Yep, I forgot about this, this is obviously somebody's Android phone(Galaxy?)hence the water sounds, using text to speech app with robotic voice. This is only used for installation tests, I have yet to see any messages played during remote activation.

There very well could be. The United States (Or even the world?) is huge! And think about it, there are plenty of places we cannot access: Military bases, large plants, etc. There could be a 408 in any one of those. And, to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Federal Signal had one tucked away in their plant somewhere.

Does the SiraTone generate sound digitally or analogically?
