I believe the two rotating sirens with 4 and 8 horns, I would guess the smaller one was 800 watts, were also available for special order and showed in the catalog.

Were the omnis discontinued before the rotating ones?

Pennington County, SD and Rapid City have a lot of newer Omni-Directional Allertronic's, they didn't look very old in person.

The rotating ACA Alertronic AL-6000 (known as the RE-1600 under ASC) was discontinued by 2000. None of ASC's archived websites mention it at all. The later RE-1600s had a smaller horn with just four throats instead of eight.
There used to be several of these Alertronics in Wisconsin, usually popping up in suburbs that wanted a cheaper siren.
Most of them have been replaced by Tempests as of 2015.
I can't say much regarding ASC's "new" siren design, but it will be interesting to see how everything unfolds.

From what I can remember, the Alertronic 6000R was a copy off the Whelen R4? (correct me if im wrong)
I also think there was a lawsuit, but im not sure.

There was enough difference between the rotating Allertronics and the Vortex, so there was no reason for a lawsuit(but I could be wrong); like the I-Force and Modulator, they look similar, but are not the same.

Not sure where you heard that there was a lawsuit. Unless it is an exact copy, or near exact copy with very minute changes, there would be no reason to file a lawsuit. They are both structured a bit differently, and the sound is delivered in a different way on both. (Vortex has 1 driver per throat, while Alertronics have 2 per throat)

I was not saying that there was ever a lawsuit, I was only stating that there needs to be an copy between companies to even consider making a lawsuit.
EDIT: I now know that 4J25 was talking to Vey198885
