The old sirens from TMI all went to the contractor installing the new sirens and they were scrapped, I suspect that is what you are going to find with any nuclear power plant... they are just machines and not worth keeping.

Not necessarily. The plant that was in my state sold most of their sirens.

It depends on the installer and the customer. A lot of towns and power plants/air bases will sell them to small towns for weather warning sirens at a good price. Others don't want to mess with them and just scrap them.

It is possible that the contractor who has removed the sirens or what may have happened to them may be detailed in the plant's decommissioning articles. The plant's previous Emergency Preparedness Coordinator would also be the one to consult as well.

Such resources have been helpful to me, i'm doing some research myself on prior & current siren locations as well.
