And don't forget Dundee Twp's. The healthiest, albeit rotates fast, I've ever seen.
Dundee's has been removed. It now (according to Harman) in a garden.
Dundee's is still up, but it's at another location and is now a lawn decoration.
So it’s not active? And what’s The new location? For my MI map

...while the second run was in the mid-1960s with improved sound projectors.
So the on in Callahan, CO is the 1st Gen, isn't it?
Yes it is.
Any pictures of the second manufacturing run aka the 2nd Gen?
I believe at one time there was a photo of one of these sirens in St. Louis, Missouri floating around on this site.

I clearly remember the day when this siren was installed in the spring of 1970. We were told is was going to be used for Civil Defense purposes, especially for Tornado Watches and Warnings. When it went off, a sense of fear overtook everyone because we knew it was for pending emergency, and not a regular fire/rescue call. The fun part was hearing this siren run in attack (tornado warning) mode, and the fire siren cycling over and over. It made for a very eerie tri-tone sound.

Guess I need to check in more often! Here is the pic of the siren. While a dual-head rotating one, it doesn't look like traditional 550s. The antenna mast there obviously means it hasn't rotated in a while either. it was removed probably 5 years ago from Pattonville-Bridgeton Sta #1.

Not entirely sure that's a 550. That just doesn't look like a Federal product of the time. The thing looks pretty small too, which does not match the characteristics of the normal 500 and the familiar 550 we all know.

The bottom of that rotator mechanicsm looks similar to the one used in the Federal 500SHST.

I fail to see a resemblance.
