I was doing a virtual siren hunt for Scream-master sirens.. I decided to take a look in La Verne, CA.. And I found this VERY WEIRD siren.

I own: One complete SiraTone, another SiraTone control module, a 1600W MC, 2 old ATI controllers, 2 round ATI horns with drivers, a ATI-DSA 4 thing, a Federal Signal FC, AR timer and Siratrol, and a small CD&F.

La Verne, CA did have one Scream-Master installed within the city. That would appear to be it - the stator and motor look very similar to the more common louvered sirens found in San Jose, Sacramento, and other cities in California, however the shroud is completely different. I don't have a full list of sirens Scream-Master offered, so it is possible they had a few different models for sale over the years.

The motor is definitely there... https://goo.gl/maps/kmxGF43HViE2

An old thread has this close-up of La Verne's siren. There are plenty of ports which would suggest it is high pitched - it would certainly scream.

That one looks like a smaller Darley Champion horizontal siren from their earlier years. The blue paintwork is quite nice.

It actually looks like a Sterling Little Giant to me.

No, that's a Darley Champion like SuperBanshee mentioned above.

Perhaps the top cover of the La Verne siren is what's left of the original cover. Those four brackets hanging from it could have supported a screen with the other two louvers.
