Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

Woa easy now guys... Not actually going to beg. I make my ARS pledge to not give us a worse name. I can negotiate and talk without begging or giving us a bad name :D I just threw that in there as a little joke. I promise there will be no... Like I said giving us all a bad name. Or making me look like a child for that matter... I got one siren by being reasonable, I can make another reasonable/civilized attempt at getting a piece I want.

EDIT: Turbo I would actually start with city manager and public works not OEM because as to my knowledge there is no OEM in the PNW that actually gets the sirens. The coast sirens are all left in the hands of public works because we in the PNW have kind of... Backed out of the CD thing. Plus I don't think the hornless was ever used after that dropout or after the station was closed. The only reason the jailbar is used (And I quote what the manager of the place said) is because of a special event like new years or the 4th of July. They literally get a sound permit and blast it just for those reasons...
Own and love a Thunderbolt 1000 and a Model 5.

I have many hobbies and interests. And I love them all.

I suppose I should note here: this is still alive! There's been some updates to the Virginia map lately, and the North Carolina map has more coverage of Onslow County.

I'll likely be adding some more to the PA map over the next week or two, and there may also be a new map, with updated pin schema to reflect the move to Maps Engine Lite.

Stick around...

(And on another note, I finally removed the ancient poll...looking back, what was I thinking trying to output that much? Egad.)

Once Google shoved their new map making format down our throats I stopped making the maps because I have trouble using it, I still have the knowledge of course but just don't feel comfortable using the mapping software or page. I will take another crack at it so I can keep contributing to your Pa map as I do enjoy doing it

Pretty much the same reason I've stopped making and updating my maps, including The Alabama Siren Map. Google's new My Maps absolutely sucks compared to the old one, and no street view when looking at or working on a map is a turn-off for me.
It hasn't helped that I've also been granted the ability to update and add new webpages on another site I'm part of so that's eaten up some of my free time as well.
I plan on doing more stuff with The Alabama Siren Archive this year though.

I got a notification early this year from Google, saying that they were shutting down the new My Maps engine in 2016. In my opinion, the new My Maps is much easier to use, and the maps don't freeze up like they did on the old version.

Huh. I wonder if they are going to keep using the old one or if they'll replace it with a new one.
If they replace it with a new one, I hope it has streetview capabilities.
