That sucks. :( Do you know when they do?
Yes it does, apparently they don't test very often: http://nku.edu/display_news.php?ID=4648
"First-ever nationwide test of emergency alert systems"...?

Did I miss something here, or are sirens nationwide being sounded on 11/9 at noon?

I believe the article is referring to the first national EAS test, which happened on 11/9/11. NKU apparently decided to take it a step further.

Did that happen last year, and will it happen this year? I had no idea that it occurred in 2011...

For those of you around the NKU area, there is another 3-cell MOD right inside the Cold Spring city limits, across the street from Kroger and behind a dorm building.

On Wednesday, Amtrak3501 attempted to film the Thunderbolt at Ohio Pike & 9 Mile Road in Withamsville, but the power was turned off.

Huh, that's very weird! I drove past that one on the way to my P-15 recording AND my Batavia Thunderbolt recording and each time it would face a different way afterwards. As far as I know it should be on, but maybe it wasn't functioning correctly, and having it run would damage it even more? One last question, do you know if the junction box had a padlock or not?

I don't know. You would need to ask Amtrak3501.

I'm likely going to be heading out there in a couple of days, I'll be sure to check it out.

Well! Look what I found on campus today,

I think 4J25 had a picture of it that he received from someone, but didn't know where it was. It's on top of the central part of the Business/Education/Psychology Center. Kind of hard to see from most angles, since that area has many trees, but if you walk around the outer rim of Loch Norse a bit you'll be able to see it eventually.

Great news! The T-128 at Shroder High School was a success! It did all three cycles with no malfunctions! The SD-10 however, didn't go off. I'll get the video uploaded sometime cause I'm sure you'll want to watch it. I'm busy right now, so the video won't be uploaded for a little while. :(

Here are few pics though:

SD-10's old control box:

Well that's all for now. Enjoy!
