Found an unknown siren in Merriman, Nebraska. Looks like it's disconnected, so more than likely it's inactive. Take a look:

I wouldn't be surprised if that is some kind of horizontal like a Sterling, Denver, Model B, etc. with some kind of homebrew cover on it.

That was my initial thought when I saw it, it's definitely a possibility.

Hi All,
I wonder if anybody can identify this siren:

Its located on the SW corner of Greenwood and Washington in Montebello, CA. I drive past it every day coming home from work. I've tried to identify it from the lists I have found online but nothing seems to show up. I've seen this type of "Birdcage" siren before elsewhere.
