Maybe they would prefer a Federal MOD6048 in Life Savers colors?

What a bunch of crybabies...If a killer tornado tears through their neighborhood, and that siren is either moved or completely shut down, I'd almost be willing to bet that those same people would likely be the first to complain that they didn't hear the siren.

Of course. Wouldn't want their "cute little houses" destroyed by big ugly tornadoes now would we?

Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.

No, they won't hear it for a few months yet. From what I've read, the new sirens are not operational yet and won't be until late August. There are still several sirens that haven't been installed yet, and supposedly all will be installed by the end of June.

I was laughing reading the comments from locals under the article. Apparently most people feel the way they do.

Maybe the county should go stick up a rusty old thunderbolt with the paint peeling, just to piss them off

An the thunderbolt would be MUCH LOUDER  to their sensitive ears as well.

I am a snobby affluent person and I think cell towers are much worse to look at! Sirens are interesting.
AT&T purchased a half acre of land from us and installed a cell phone tower in our back yard, less than 300 feet from our home. Trust me, I know how you feel.
