Thank you for the O'Fallon info. Hillsboro currently uses a Vortex for tornado/severe tstorm warnings.They still have an oldSTL10 at the fire station but I doubt it is still used.Not sure about Crystal City. Festus,De Soto and Herculaneum are all Whelen. Hope Jeffco's powers that be see the light one day and put in a system but I'm not holding my breath.

I read in the newspaper a few years ago that the hilly terrain in Jefferson County is the reason why there isn't a county-wide siren system. It's a shame, because look at the High Ridge area and how densely populated it is; there definately should be sirens out that way. Right now, as you know, only select municipalities in Jeffco have their own siren systems.
