Just got back from Yatesville, and all I have to say is....

The test was AWESOME!!!!! :D :D

Both sirens sounded incredible (especially the Tbolt), and I got it on video too. The video will be up soon, and it's not exactly perfect, but still a great recording IMO

That test was amazing. That was the first time in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time I heard a 1000T.

My videos are in the A/V section.

Nothin' like a 1000T in Attack on Chopper 1... unless, of course, it's a 4/5-port 1000T, like I grew up with. ;)

Jeb, great restoration. And to the enthusiasts who helped with the installation, great job. Thanks for the photos and videos for those of us who couldn't be there in person.

I am very pleased to see Norman Thunderbolts that I have seen for most of my life starting a new life warning people in emergencies.

Also, 10 minutes before noon. When I was arriving to Yatesville fire department. It's something funny I was doing there!
I screamed "P-50S ARE SUPER AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!" Then everyone turned around and looked at me!

Anyway, I had an awesome time there! I want to do this again! Thank you so much all for letting this happen! :D :D

Let me guess... Someone put a dual tone chopper in there and it's original was a single tone, or someone didn't put the right label on it...

Yes, it was originally a single tone Thunderbolt when it was installed in Norman, OK but it was changed over to a 5/6 port 1000T during its restoration. Already have one single tone Thunderbolt in the county (The Rock's siren), and single tone Thunderbolts have a sound that's rather boring and don't have that attention-grabbing "bite" that the dual tone ones have. As for the ID plate, all two-signal Thunderbolts had "1000" in the type/model information field of the plate, regardless if they were single or dual tone. Only differentiation in models/types from that time period were 1000 or 1003, no "1000T" label yet.
