I hate to sound stupid but I don't understand the numbers on the top of some of the pages in the pdf file. Like the 611, 612, 613 and so on. Could someone please explain this to me????

It looks like version of the generic civil defense logo like what we used to use here in Illinois. Here is a picture of one of the old Illinois stickers.

They represent the class of sirens by decibel rating. For example, 617 is the Thunderbolt class because of this.
man 1-look at my previous post. Perolia had 5 Thunderbolts by 1964, and now they have a system of Whelens (4004s and 2XXXs)

OK, so I sent a letter to the city of Creve Coeur, IL regarding this specific siren. I sent it about 2 weeks ago, and still haven't heard back. I also have a few more pics to add of the siren. (see below) I am not sure what to do if I don't hear back, I guess just wait? Any suggestions on what to do? The address is approximately 320 Rusche Ln. Creve Coeur, IL. (You'll have to look on street view)

I always say nothing beats a firm handshake. Go meet them in person! Then they have to talk to you.
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.

Well I would, I truly would, but I'm not sure where to go. Not to mention I have school, and the siren may not even be owned by Creve Coeur.
