I hate to sound stupid but I don't understand the numbers on the top of some of the pages in the pdf file. Like the 611, 612, 613 and so on. Could someone please explain this to me????

It looks like version of the generic civil defense logo like what we used to use here in Illinois. Here is a picture of one of the old Illinois stickers.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! Does anybody else have anything? I've also tried youtube, I am trying really hard on my end, and I would like some help, since I have been very curious about this siren ever since I saw it. (about 1 year ago)

They represent the class of sirens by decibel rating. For example, 617 is the Thunderbolt class because of this.
man 1-look at my previous post. Perolia had 5 Thunderbolts by 1964, and now they have a system of Whelens (4004s and 2XXXs)

Perolia? Like Peoria? Are we talking about the same place?

Yes, Peroria, my bad! I'm bad with names. But yes, they have a system of Whelens now I believe.

OK, so I sent a letter to the city of Creve Coeur, IL regarding this specific siren. I sent it about 2 weeks ago, and still haven't heard back.

I also have a few more pics to add of the siren. (see below) I am not sure what to do if I don't hear back, I guess just wait? Any suggestions on what to do? The address is approximately 320 Rusche Ln. Creve Coeur, IL. (You'll have to look on street view)

Well I would, I truly would, but I'm not sure where to go. Not to mention I have school, and the siren may not even be owned by Creve Coeur.
