Do you reckon this would be in contention?

This features in D. Wisbey's Gent's catalogue. Quite an odd feature, don't you agree?

Looks like a dual-headed siren with only one motor. Did they really sell those or was it just some homemade project?

I would have imagined so. It was in their catalogue. Looks like a big 10HP motor with a dual toned siren on either side. I'm sure there is one lurking somewhere. What a discovery that would be.

Would be quite a find indeed!
It's basically 2 Carters sirens stuck together, only 4 rotors powered by one motor. Bit of a bad design, as the Motor and axels will be very exposed to the weather!

True, that's why I said it looked a bit homemade and wouldn't survive. Also looks abnormally long for a siren. Only roof mountable (that thing would never fit on a pole).

Here is a photo of the official Tangent Gents Catologue, featuring many siren types, plus the Carters! All these sirens were buyable! I have the prices of the sirens in the catologue, depending on voltage type (AC/DC)

Look at all those "syrens"!!
Wow, a whole new company to put in the logbooks. Let's see... *writes "Gents" on a scrap piece of paper* ... now to file it in the listings... *puts in "filing slot" - i.e. a paper shredder*

There's too many siren production companies out there for me to list.
Anyways, looks like Gents were really trying to sell their sirens. Seems like they'd be popular, but I don't think many people would purchase the last one... must go, about 25 car alarms are going off outside. Someone's trying to get a free car from the parking lot again. I hate living in Tennessee's most prestigious school... which is located smack-dab in the center of the ghetto. Stupid.

As far as I'm aware, there were two companies making Sirens during WW2.
Tangent Gents (Carters) and Brook Motors Ltd.
I own one of the Brook Motors models made in 1936, whilst Terence (Gents) owns a 2 HP Tangent Gents Siren, again made in 1936.
He told me interesrting fact about Gents covered the Sputhern areas of the UK, whilst Brook Motors covered the Northern areas.
My siren came from Bolton, Lancashire, whilst Terence's came from Somerset, just up the road from me!
If you can help me out Terence please do...lol

Wonderful, Dan!
Can you count the ports on each siren?
I can't see them very well on this computer.
That largest one is 8 hp. I'd expect more.
If I were to buy a siren, it would be Chinese. Lion King.
Love their bicycle-powered siren.
Would that not be a blast? And a good workout, too!

Yes a healthy, but noisy way to keep fit! lol
Maybe they could equip them with shutters?
