The 408 in the Flickr post has probably been replaced seeming it was posted in 2006.

Yay oscillators! That would explain a lot of the pitch variation in some of the videos posted above.

I can't seem to figure out one thing. Some pictures show the horns of the 408 being attached to the rectangular head at the base of the horn, like on the larger EOWS, and Logan's 408, but then there are pictures of 408's with larger heads where the horns go inside the back, and are not fully sticking out.
