Ok, ok, but I still like the roots. Charlie was right, nananananana

Try putting three shop vacs or leaf blowers on a manifold and see what that does. Should make your neighbors more "sociable".
squirrel cage blowers can't generate much pressure. They'll make a bit of a difference if hooked up the way Nelso90 did it, but they're far too "open" internally to be able to pressurize a Thunderbolt. You need something like a roots blower or a true compressor to build pressure.

Yes, but the only problem is, our house doesn't have three phase, and a roots blower pulls WAY too many amps to be usable on our property.

You can run the blower from a 40-50 amp breaker just fine. I've ran mine many times form a 100A panel on a 40A breaker.

ganging together shop vac/leaf blowers won't really get you anything. Once the head pressure reaches the maximum- which won't be much- they'll just be fighting each other.

When you look at the internal construction of a vacuum blower, you'll see that they have diffuser vanes in place outboard of the compressor wheel. This is exactly how a turbocharger works. These vanes convert airspeed into pressure. It's like comparing a roots supercharger and a centrifugal supercharger. They both do the same thing, but you gotta get the centrifugal really singing to do it. The roots blower may only be doing like 10,000RPM, and the centrifugal will do 100,000! I have that bank teller blower I converted, and it puts out a lot of pressure. Easily 6PSI, just not at the volume that the T-Bolt needs to run at max volume.

In contrast, look at the construction of a leaf blower. It is all about airspeed. It has no diffuser, and it can really put out a large volume, but the second you put any kind of pressure head on it, the blower wheel surges, and loses efficiency.
