According to this, it stands for Canada Line Material.

I remember years ago someone had a bunch of those things for sale on ebay. Still in their crates,they were all outside on the ground.It was in a past thread on the old board. I could be wrong here but I think it was a cd777 thread.I wonder if those same sirens are in the same location today.

"Blues Brothers" comes to mind here although they used it as a fake speaker to talk through.

Chicago's system actually consisted of ThunderBolts, but the film-makers used the Toronto siren as a stand-in.

I remember those. It was in 2000 I think. They also had a model 5 brand new in the crate as well.
