Does it sound a lot like the original 40V2T?
Nothing has beaten the Chrysler siren.

Since the motors in Sentry's dual-motor models never run at exactly the same speed, this should produce some very interesting dissonance.

Ed, is it true that Sentry is going to stop production of the Defender? Ive seen on some post on the board that they were.
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.

I've noticed that the battery powered Sentry sirens are noticeably taller than their AC counterparts.

I doubt it's gonna sound any different than an AC 40V2T.

Ed said that it had a very fast windup so it would be interesting to hear and see.

I hope they found a way around the volkswagen sized battery box it takes to run that sucker.

I still think it would have been a more practical solution to utilize the 10 port rotor of the 40V in an directional siren. It would perform every bit as good as an 8 port P-15, which is a bada 8) s siren.

Don't get me wrong, I like Sentries as much as everyone else, I just don't see the reasoning behind some of their decisions lately.

The Defender wasn't the best design of a siren. I do like omnidirectionals better, but the Defender wasn't THAT efficient and wasn't very loud. If they made a P-50 out of a 40v2t, who knows how loud that would get? Even making a rotating 10V would be a decent idea. However, rotating sirens go against their main advertising point, that omnidirectionals require less maintenance. Which is true. I'm also not a huge fan of 8/16 being used for dual tone.
