It looks like whoever installed that thing lacked the equipment to get it on the top of the pole, hahahaha.
There's a Model 5 near me that's low enough for someone of average height to reach up and touch. I need to get a picture of it sometime.

That one has been posted before somewhere here on ARS. Still worth a mention, apparently, there is another one on the other side of town pointed the other way back towards the town.
I guess that is one way to get around a bad chain rotator drive!

I can't tell from the street view, but are the gray boxes on the pole control panels for the siren?

I know we don't like to bump but figured beings this is kinda an ongoing thread I would post these pics I found. These are on the Waynesboro Fire Dept page.
"Temporary Fire Station at 72 Gay Street just off the Rotary Parking lot
while "Firemen's Hall" was rebuilt 1967."

I know it's not nice to bump, but just like MysteryMachine said, this is kind of an ongoing thread. I found a
REALLY low model 5 in Mendon, IL. Not sure if this has been posted before... Here's a link:

I'm not sure! I just found it when I was doing a hunt for a siren.
