Can you add my videos to the Pennsylvania map? They're all embedded down below.

So I went on a small, local siren hunt today (my first!) and brought back some pictures for the Pennsylvania map. The pictures are in the following order:

Perfect! I just noticed Rheems1 logged on. Here's a puzzler for him in Harrisburg. At Italian Lake, there's an SD-10 in the middle of the park, not near any fire departments and not part of the TMI system (https://goo.gl/KB8wS2). Do you have any clue what it might be used for? And also, for PeachTreeSirens, can you add it to the PA map when you get the chance?

LOL, for the longest time I had a different version of No but Meaghon Trainer is much better to look at. That siren at Italian Lake is actually part of the old Harrisburg City Civil Defense System, there used to be quite a few of those SD-10's around the city. That one at Italian Lake is the only SD-10 that I have been able to find left in the city, there is also a 2T22 on one of the buildings at the Capitol. You can barely see it in this Google Streetview image, look really, really closely

I should really request access to update the Pa Siren Map, either way here is one that hardly anyone knows about... in Slatington they have a Model 5 at their firehouse (which is noted on the map) but it has not been active for a number of years. The borough decided to replace it since it had coverage issues, they found a good spot that was above the whole town and mounted a new siren (at the time) to be heard across the whole area. So I present the new siren that is hidden away in the borough of Slatington:

[SNIP]

Great mounting location, there isn't a single place in town you can't hear it... the problem is that it is mounted at such a perfect spot that 20 times a year the neighboring Slatedale Fire Department (about 5 miles away) asks Lehigh County if they have a call. It carries that well that in Slatedale it gets mistaken for the STH-10 that is at the firehouse...from 5 miles away!

More PA sirens (Dave, for goodness sake get access to the map.)

Dover, PA's STH-10 has been removed, the mount remains standing.
Done, done and done! Luke, do you mind if I use those photos on the map? l'll give full credit (as is my policy).

Here is a Berks County, Pa map I threw together, everything is there except Vinemont which may or may not still have a firehouse.. they have/had a Model 2 but merged into Spring Township Fire Department who has taken down sirens at the other departments.

So I've been doing some "research" and iv'e found some siren locations in and around York County, PA.

1. Goodwill Fire Co in York- FS 3T22
2. Jefferson Volunteer Fire Co in Codorus- Not sure if it's a Fedelcode or an FS Model 5. Here's the Google Maps link: https://goo.gl/jsHr54
3. Wrightsville Fire Department in Wrightsville- Sentry 3V8
4. Union Fire Co #1 in Manchester- FS Model 5
5. Susquehanna Fire Co. #1 in York Haven- FS Model 5
6. York- New Salem Community Fire Company 1 in York New Salem- FS STL-10 (with what looks like a custom red white and blue paint job) https://goo.gl/sCFgh3
7. Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company in Shrewsbury- Same deal as #2 (https://goo.gl/oUaLUq)
8. Eagle Fire Co in Mt. Wolf- FS STH-10
9. "Hellam" Fire Co in "Hallam"- FS Model 2
10. Thomasville Fire Co in Thomasville- Very low mounted FS Model 5
11. Monroe Fire Co in Mechanicsburg- FS SD-10
12. Loganville Fire Co in Loganville- Either a Sentry 3V8-H or 7V8 (https://goo.gl/gzLIFM)
13. Midway Fire Co in Hanover- Tower Mounted FS Model 2

And also, Maryland Line Volunteer Fire in Maryland Line, MD- Once again either a 3V8-H or a 7V8 (https://goo.gl/qcEpQs)
I'll have to run through and add those at some point...too much trouble to do that now when I've already spent the last hour updating maps as I type (and I'm far from done!)...

You should make a map for Illinois. That is where I am. I don't have pictures of some sirens but know the location. I can help you out with my noob skills. (yes I've only been a member for a day now.)
There is a very nice Illinois map already, which I've contributed to. Here's a link to it.

Here's a relatively new Loudoun ES-5000DC in Macon that can be added to the Georgia map. Installed about 4 years ago.

Added, thanks! I meant to look for that some time ago but never got around to it.

Found an error on your GA map:

The siren in Jonesboro that burned up was a 2, not a 2T:

That may have just been a typo on my part, I know I've seen that video. Corrected!

Got some for the Georgia map:

In Statham at Bethlehem Road and Statham Drive there is a Model 2 by the fire station near that intersection.
In Avera there is a Model 2 behind the FD
Louisville has 2 4004s. The only one I know of off hand is behind City Hall.
In Bartow (Jefferson Co.) there is also a 2 at the FD
Wrens once had a 5 behind the FD, but it is gone.
There is a Darley Champion on some kind of display at Thomson's FD
Washington has an STH-10 next to their FD
Woodville has a 2001-130 on Magnolia St.

And for a bit of bad news:
Palmetto's Model 5 was taken down in November of last year.

According to this article, Coweta got 2 new Whelens last summer:
http://thecitizen.com/2016/07/03/new-we ... ed-county/
All added and marked as needed.

I'll run through and update other maps off older posts here later this week. Thank you all for your submissions and patience!

Got one more GA location for ya Calvin:
Shellman has a Darley Helmet Siren on W. Ward St atop a building that looks to be an old town hall.

In addition, in Habersham, as of yesterday Mt. Vernon Mills' 5 is still there. and upon closer inspection, it actually is a 5T. I drove by it yesterday and could see a 9/12 port chopper just barely.

And as a final tidbit, I have some history on 2 SD-10s in the state:
The one in Forsyth on the water tower is the towns original siren. It was purchased in 1959 and installed in the town at a fire station if I remember correctly, but was moved to the water tower in the 90s when the first 2001s went up.

The one in Oxford is an Ex-Atlanta siren. The city purchased it as gov't surplus in either 1989 or 1990, not sure which. The 2 is the town's original siren, being purchased and installed in 1963.

I learned info on both sirens through city employees of the respective cities.

Some more goodness fresh from my voyage:

Sumner has a Sentry 16V1T-B across from the FD

And some info: Jefferson's Vortex indirectly replaced a Sterling M-10 that was on the Regions building in downtown. The siren was removed in 2012.

Also I believe I have found an error: the GA map claims there is a siren in Buena Vista, but there is no placemark anywhere.

Got it all, thanks! I should have already had Sumner's - the Sirens for Cities FB has been the source for quite a few of my Sentry locations...

As for Buena Vista - I had information from, uh, somewhere (I tried to find the source but couldn't) that said they had a siren somewhere in town, but I never found the actual location. It might not even exist, I don't know for certain.

In regards to South Georgia Technical College's siren, it has a WPS-2910 installed next to it that went up with the county's system. Quick question, is there any info on the campus siren to confirm that it's an actual OA4? I would go down there myself to see it, but I'm not too comfortable driving through those back-roads to get there.

Here's a map to Ft. Gorden's Tyco/ADT system: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit? ... 56157&z=14

Thanks! Somehow I completely failed to spot that 2910...updated. My info on it being an OA-4 is from the Whelen website - their list of universities and colleges with their sirens differentiates between 2900s and OAs, and SGTC isn't bold (which denotes 2900s).

As for Fort Gordon, I'll get that added in the morning - not up to mass mapping right now.

I've seen it in person. It's most definitely an OA-4. Someone on here also has pictures of it, but I don't remember who.

Also, in Collins, GA, there is what looks like a Model A/D/L or whatever on a pole behind their FD. In addition, I have discovered another Darley Helmet in Glenville behind their city hall.

Also, the T-128 in Lewisberry isn't a new installation, it indirectly replaced a P-10 down Market Street that is now decapitated.
