It sounds to me like an electronic siren, so not something mechanical like an E57.IceBolt_1003 wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 4:34 pmI am curious aswell. Maybe some hormann E57 or something?
It definitely sounds like a Hormann, though.archizackture wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 5:20 pmIt sounds to me like an electronic siren, so not something mechanical like an E57.IceBolt_1003 wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 4:34 pmI am curious aswell. Maybe some hormann E57 or something?
Maybe, but it's the wrong pitch and the wind down is different. The wind down also lingers, which makes me think it's mechanical.IceBolt_1003 wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 5:38 pmIt definitely sounds like a Hormann, though.archizackture wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 5:20 pmIt sounds to me like an electronic siren, so not something mechanical like an E57.IceBolt_1003 wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 4:34 pmI am curious aswell. Maybe an ECN.
Total opposite for me. I think the way the wind-down lingers, as well as the way the windup stops, is very electronic sounding. It doesn't have the right nuances to be a mechanical siren sound.SirensOfNewYork wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 7:09 pmThe wind down also lingers, which makes me think it's mechanical.
It's so strange because it sounds mechanical but electronic at the same time. I think this is in the Phillipines.archizackture wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 10:01 pmTotal opposite for me. Teho-Ulvo's wind down ends with prolonging tone an octave lower than it's peak pitch, whereas this siren does not. I've never heard of a Teho-Ulvo with a different sound chip, and they are Finnish, and this video takes place in the Phillipines (I think, based on the description)
Could it be a knockoff?SirensOfNewYork wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 2:43 pmTeho-Ulvo's wind down ends with prolonging tone an octave lower than it's peak pitch, whereas this siren does not. I don't know if it's a knockoff, but it's possibly an electronic siren. We could ask where it is in the comments, possibly.CD_Siren wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 2:47 pmCould it be a knockoff?SirensOfNewYork wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 2:43 pmTeho-Ulvo's wind down ends with prolonging tone an octave lower than it's peak pitch, whereas this siren does not.
