Well, I wouldn't say that they are rarely used. In my tri-county area, we had 80 of them installed back in the 80's. Sure, they aren't famous like bolts or 2001s, but they are out there. People just assume they are bird houses. hahahaha
Yeah we had a cyclone but it... uhm... hwo do i say this... Fell down when the pole it was on fell over...
It Cracked the Stator and bent the housing.
Where is it now?
Well i would probably say its in about 20 cars,a boat, maybe some houses and probably a plane since it was scrapped.

Thanks Michael(Oldiesmann) for showing me this photo. I hope it's ok that I'm showing it.

I've been trying very hard to find this siren on Birds' Eye, and this photo here explains why I can't find it. I've also had a hard time trying to find the platform, and Oldiesmann seems to think that he found it. There's a link to it below the photo.

This one is in Hamilton County, but I have not been able to find it. I thought that this was a rather odd installation. Looks like it's mouted on an oil well rig.

That's located behind an old library at Reading & Dale.

That thunderbolt is at Lindsey St and Wylie Road in Norman. I took a picture of that this summer. The pole has been replaced a long while ago and is not leaning anymore.
Kicking it in the siren party since '08

Interesting. Did the siren get replaced or did they just re-paint it when they were up there?

The photo I have is from the siren survey, which was apparently done sometime in 2002.

Not sure if this will work but here goes. In the cities defense, the siren was put up in 1998 and the apartment building was put up in 2004. It was a vacant lot before this.

I'm sure the apartment residents get a nasty surprise when that thing goes off. At least they didn't put it next to a P-50. The residents would be in all sorts of hell, and wouldn't the sound shatter the glass on those windows?
The sniper rifle. For when you want to reach out and touch someone. Like blow their head off.
