I would like to mark two siren pins as removed for the "Various Sirens In Virginia" Map.

The following sirens have disappeared the last time I visited their locations in Northern Virginia.

Sterling VA VFD #611 Federal Signal STH-10 was removed. (Google Maps Coordinates/Link: https://www.google.com/maps/@38.9996321 ... 222,20.75z)

The Ashburn VA VFD Darley STH-10 was thrown out for a new building. (An updated street view also supports this) (Google Maps Coordinates/Link: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.0448857 ... 599,19.58z)

RIP every siren near my location. :(
It's funny you should mention this...I was going to say something about it too. I live in NoVa as well - and am very bummed about the number of sirens that have disappeared here in the last several years. But on a positive note, both Ashburn and Sterling still have their sirens - the Ashburn siren is actually not a Darley STH, but an HOR. It is actually still mounted (without its housing) on the hose tower but is very hard to see. I spoke with them directly about it. Sterling still has their STH-10 too, and like Ashburn they plan to keep it for nostalgic purposes. It too was taken down so it doesn't get lost when they knock down the old station. I do fear that it might only be a matter of time before all of the sirens in Loudoun County (my home county) are gone though. Not even 10 years ago, nearly every volunteer station in the county had one and it seems like half of them are gone now.

Some sirens missing from the Pennsylvania Map:
- Rome Sentry 10V2T
- Bangor, two FS Model 2s
- Addison Whelen Hornet
- Markleysburg FS 2001 (and a Thunderbolt removed before 2013)
The marker for Ohiopyle's siren is in Shohola, all the way across the state for some reason.

Some sirens missing from the Virginia Map:
- South End (Winchester) Model 2
- Gainesboro Sterling M-10
- Star Tannery Sterling M-10
- North Mountain (Shawnee Land) Sentry 7V8

Some sirens missing from Maryland:
- Clear Spring FS STH-10
- Orleans VFD Model 5/7
- Flintstone Model 5/7
Also, the Thunderbolt on Hagerstown City Hall and the 3T22 in Sharpsburg have been removed.

Missing from West Virginia (lots, but here's the ones off the top of my head; feel free to copy them from my map):
- Shepherdstown Model 5
- Inwood Siro-Drone (at new fire department; removed from Back Creek Valley VFD years ago and refurbished)
- Berkeley Springs Sterling M-10 and broken Sterling N-5 (both at Mercer and Independence Streets)
- Paw Paw Fedelcode Model 5
- Levels XT22
- Slanesville FS STH-10
- Springfield Model 5/7
- Romney Eclipse 8
- Patterson Creek Darley Champion (vertical)
- Wardensville Model 5/7
- Short Gap Sentry 7V8
- Wiley Ford Sentry 3V8-H (at the post office)
- Elk Garden Sentry 7V8, 3V8-H or 14V
- Mount Storm Sentry 7V8 or 3V8-H
- Moorefield Model 5/7 (on police station, modified with horns)
- Petersburg Darley 3V8
- Maysville Darley 3V8
- Harman Model 5/7
The mystery siren in Great Cacapon was a Model 5/7 and a Darley 3V8 that are both gone. There was a Darley 3V8 removed from Mountain Lake Road at The Woods, a Screamer removed from Hedgesville, and a Sterling M-10 removed from Inwood.

Architecture preservationist. I enjoy obscure history and mapping things, and grew up around sirens. Not planning to own one.

Sorry to bump but if you are willing to open your Massachusetts map again I have a contribution. On the campus of Assumption College there is a Modulator 3012 behind the Tsotsis Family Center. I have been on the campus many times because my uncle is the president of the college.

Most of the Various Sirens Series maps are not being updated any longer, but I'll add it to the Massachusetts Map I've got. Thank you!

The Model 2 in Warren, RI has been removed. It was removed sometime after 2012.
