That is what I am assuming too. I only think it might be an equinox because of the low pitched sound I heard. There are no other towns in the area. Unless Greenwood has hidden their old fire and noon siren elsewhere for fire calls, noon and curfew, I think something here is strange. I dont know, one of these days when I am up there visiting my grandpa, I am going to try to get the noon blast, see whats up. But I have been trying to do that for 2 years and Doesnt work out or get there too late.

If it's an Equinox, it will clearly say so on the rotator enclosure; they didn't label any of those as "2001-130". So if it has a "2001-130" decal on it, it's a 2001-130. Only reason I can think of for the low pitch is that at least one of the batteries has a bad cell and is causing a voltage drop, thus making the chopper motor run slower, assuming it's a DC-only unit (no rectifier).

Here are all my pictures of it:
NOTE: there is a outdoor light on the same pole as the siren to light the basketball court next to it. So may feed into same power source.

At least we know can confirm it is not an Equinox. I really need to record that thing. Nice other pictures too!

They have pole mounted speakers on the street lamps closest to the fire station in Seward, Alaska. I think you should mention that on your map if you haven't already.

If you turn all the way around from the streetview image in the link, there is a modulator about a block back that you can see, if you did not already know that was there,
