Here in Rochester, a new apartment building was just completed and about 40-50 or so feet from it is a 2001 at eye level with the top floor of the building, i'll try and get a picture of it later on.

Interesting. Did the siren get replaced or did they just re-paint it when they were up there?

The photo I have is from the siren survey, which was apparently done sometime in 2002.
The only way it could've been yellow if it was repainted or replaced after that photo, then repainted again. I doubt that's possible.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

Could that be the elusive Federal 300? I've never seen what one looks like, but if someone else has, please tell!

That siren has what looks a lot like a Sterling base on there, so my guess would be that it's a 1/2 Little Giant (Tiny Giant?).
