Do you guys know how much the output in db and watts is on one of the things? Another odd thing is that there is only one and it is pointing in one direction...

It's most likely to tell cars to slow down, the trucks are pulling out, it is an emergency.

It's not made for mass notification, it's made to warn people in a short distance, or for indoor applications.

In my college dorms, there were three Selectones on each floor for fire alarms, all set to slow whoop. They were bloody loud, and for good reason: the school had burned down twice in the last 120 years.
