Re: Oregon's Thunderbolt is down! They're taking them all!

It's still the same price as single phase down here, we just try to come off an existing transformer bank. Last go around single phase was only $100 less than three phase.

Most of the time if it's possible we try to come off an existing three phase service that's owned by the county or city. That way all you pay is the upfront cost for trenching in power and running conduit inside the building. No monthly meter charge that way.

You only encounter sky high prices when the power company has to run new primaries to your site. It's about $20.00/foot.

Well also back in the 50's and 60's, everything wasn't so absurdly overpriced like it is now, so that would probably make sense.

I've thought about what it would take to get three phase out to the farm for siren purposes. I'm kinda dreading what the cost would actually look like if I wanted to do it.

Dane County electric provider MG&E Got a rate increase last year. and if it was like what I got being with WE enigers. It is quite a big jump
by me they raised the felicities charge double just to have the electric service use to coast 30 cents a day it was raised to 58 cents a day single phase for 3 phase double that amount like 1.16 a day. Oh yes we have the PSC but all they do in ok any rate hike. Electric rates in Wisconsin are very high
