How about that; and its near my neck of the woods too! Waterford-Halfmoon also had a low 3T22, I'll see if I can find it.

This Thunderbolt at Silver Dollar City is mounted pretty low considering how loud a Thunderbolt is:

This Whelen 2802 (?) Seems mounted low compared to other Whelen installs I've seen, let alone the heighth of neighboring town Holyokes sirens. Sorry about the pole being in the way, only had one chance to get this picture while passing through town. If anyone is interested, this unit is located in Paoli Colorado on grant street next to a park south of US HWY 6.

I know I know I KNOW this siren has been mentioned already, but I've only seen street view pictures of it posted. Maybe there are other photos I haven't seen of it, but I figured I'd throw the ones I took just in case.

The pictures really don't give justice to its lowness. I was a little worried a firefighter would see me standing right next to it and blow it just to freak me out.

And definitely no blower, she's just sittin' on a solid wood pole.

The blower could be in the basement of the building. That's what Lyncourt FD (in Syracuse) has with their 1000.

This is actually the siren in Fruitland, Idaho. I have heard it many times sounding for fire calls when I lived out that way. What I would like to know is why a photo of a siren on a very tall pole belongs on this thread, or why this junior high schooler is billing himself as "Head of manufacturing and technical design, Marketing agent at PCBS Computers."

The Thunderbolt in Lott can't get much air with that pole blocking the intake on the bottom (unless there is a blower pipe going through the middle of the pole).

I was wondering that too... But I figured someone else would say something. Anyways for being on topic I can't remember the last one I said was low but the model 2s in lincoln city at D river and up at roads end (The current model 2 at roads end is only... 2 years old? 3 years old maybe?) that were taken away due to salt air corrosion were mounted on bathrooms at the beach. I believe my man daniel here took some pictures of them and put them on the siren archive.

Again these 2 sirens are no longer there. A 2001SRNB replaced the D river one (But the pole is still there) and a new model 2 mounted much higher replaced the roads end one.
