Nothing was special about them ,they were just Standard STL-10s. But the one thing like the Model 120s ,the STL-10s had there controls inside a ground mounted cabinet as well. The top pictures are the Model 120s controls inside the cabinet. The STL-10s had the same cabinet except it had Federal controls inside. Also you can see in one picture one Model 120 has its controls mounted on the pole. I believe John told me only about 3 of them in the whole system had their controls pole mounted. And those were sites away from the ocean. The reason why most of the Model 120s and STL-10s have their controls mounted inside a cabinet is so they won’t rust or carode. The pictures you see are 3 different sites right after installation in September of 1982. The STL-10s were put up a few months prior. SONGS old system: Sep 1982-Nov 2005.
