Is there a doctor in the house? This HLS 273 isn't too happy.

It seems like there are a few of these in Darmstadt that aren't too good sounding. They have a very quick wind down as opposed to the smooth one that healthy ones have. On the flip side Köln replaced the diesel compressors/generators on their existing 273s with electric compressors and grid powered battery chargers. It's a shame that they removed their F71s. The only ones left in service are in Finland from the looks of it. Pneumatic sirens are like the Thunderbolts of Germany. They had some software issues with the EPS 2400s that replaced them that caused them to run for well over the typical minute duration, which actually overloaded one and made it switch to single tone.

Almost sounds like an early Whelen when it winds down.

Something I wanted to post. Here's a poorly maintained 3T22 in Sandy, OR:

The siren location was actually discovered by JoJoes123 Sirens. He's trying to find the siren's status. He even made a walk around tour video about it.

It looks like someone forgot to bolt some of the horns in. Aside from that, it looks OK to me.

The location was actually discovered by Daniel. He pointed it out to me and the other 2 XT22s in Oregon that are unfortunately upon recent discovery: gone. I will give JoJoes123 Sirens credit for having the first walk around video of it. But it has been mentioned before if I am not mistaken. I called them a while ago and at the time it was still being used but as a backup siren if the pagers went down. Keeping in mind this was quite a while ago and they may have changed some things that is kind of my 2 cents to that. Stay tuned I got a video of Lincoln city's model 5 to add here. (The silver model 5 you see in that video.)

EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DgzW9ARDfI Here it is. FFW to about 3 minutes or so in (Otherwise you see him talking about a federal model Q and how mechanical sirens work... I knew how they worked but nothing says he didn't know something I didn't). He talks about the fate of the original model 2 at roads end and the model 2 at D river that was replaced by a 2001. You also see what the salt air did to this poor model 5. Also WARNING: Minor language warning.

My dad knows a few firefighters there, but I think they're retired. He says it is only probably only weather damage. The other side looks much better. Here's my latest video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvQeysqDj8U

Calhan, CO's 550AT. The top is riddled with hail damage and little paint, but otherwise still sounds great.
