When I use the inspect element feature on Chrome and click the audio links on the 508 page, the URL is "/Eclipse_Wail_December_2006.mp3" or something to that effect. That tells us that the audio clips are from an Eclipse, and if FS is using that as a representation of the 508, it must sound pretty darn close, if not the same, as the Eclipse.

I am assuming that they are simply copy pasting page elements from one page to another. :P

Yea, I think it's safe to say that this page is still under construction. But it would appear that it has officially been added to the product line!

There's a 99% chance the 508 and the Eclipse sirens use the same rotor and stator. I guess they're taking ASC's approach - sell many different versions of the same siren. Hey, it clearly works. I wonder how much longer the 2001 will last?

I wouldn't be shocked if they have pretty much ended the production line for those. Why sell two sirens that are probably the same price, yet one is far superior than the other?

It's going to sound exactly like a T-128.

I think I remember back in '06 when the 2001-130 officially appeared on their page, the SRN-B was still advertised for a short time before being taken off. I think it's safe to say the 130's days are numbered.

Despite the dislike of the 2001 (I never was a huge fan of it) I'm kind of gonna miss it. I guess this marks the end of the production of sirens using the Model 3/xt22 12 port rotor when the 2001 is eventually discontinued.
