Oh yeah, I’ll add this to the map!

Baxter MN had a square horn. That siren was the subject of discussion a year or two ago. I do not recall anyone ever getting an exact location, but it has been discussed several times over the years. Supposedly, a scrap yard cut it up after an enthusiast tracked it down.
Baxter apparently had multiple units, however, the exact amount is unknown. This unit was located at this coordinates: 46°21'00.7"N 94°15'57.5"WLukeH wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 1:57 amBaxter MN had a square horn. That siren was the subject of discussion a year or two ago. You never know, we could find photos of it eventually.andreblakewaskewitch wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 2:01 amYeah. Sadly no pictures of it. It would be a perfect example of how the pole mount 130 looked liked
Ok I just now found out the photos were never classified. my friend is in one of them groups, I’m not telling who though so they don’t get bugged for hurricane info. My bad.LukeH wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 6:45 pmThere is a select group of "kiddies" who think found images are their property, and refuse to share with the rest of the community. They'll keep them private for years, for no reason other than "I have something you don't have". It's atrocious behavior, and unfortunately an issue as old as this board.
Oh, but why would the classify siren photos that aren’t theirs? Makes no sense to me.Crazymincrafter2012 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 3:31 amOk I just now found out the photos were never classified. my friend is in one of them groups, I’m not telling who though so they don’t get bugged for hurricane info. My remark about your behavior stands.Crazymincrafter2012 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 3:31 amOk I just now found out the photos were never classified. my friend is in one of them groups, I’m not telling who though so they don’t get bugged for hurricane info.
