Oh wow I'd love to see that. Especially pictures of the insides.

Do you think you'll be making a recording of it anytime in the near future? I'm dying to hear a recording of one other than that tocsin b exercise thing.

I will soon be making a drill run up of the siren, due to thats the only type of run up I can do because of the massive amount of power it takes to run. I will also post pictures of the insides of the siren. I have already taken off both horns, and I got a little suprise when I took off the back horn. Thats all I'll say for now, I hope to have the pictures up in the next couple of weeks.

 I had enough trouble getting it off the trailer, I can't imagine putting it back on. When It first went in the trailer, it went in with a backhoe.

Ok, well that narrows it down, theirs 3 airports in Toronto, Person International Airport , Downsview Airport (old WW2 base, really not used anymore) and the Toronto Island Airport. Do you remember how you came across this siren for sale?
I got it from a collector of antique steam engines. He told me it was near an airport from Toronto in Simcoe county that is no longer in use. Looks like my 7T is from the old WWII base or near it...

Whatever it takes to get that thing powered up... and recorded. We have to hear that beast in action. If it doesn't work, we'll fix it.

Siren_Dude, I hope you realize just how big of a deal it is for someone on this board to have a CLM siren in their possession. Out of all the known cold war era outdoor warning sirens in North America, we know the least about the CLM. We have pictures of the outside, and a vague recording that MIGHT feature the siren. A simple picture of the siren with the housing removed, or even a description of what you see would effectively double what we currently know, or think we know about the siren, so please don't hold out on us!

A recording would be absolutely monumental. If you ask me, a recording of a CLM in action would be on par with something like a 10/12 port square horn Hurricane 130 in hi lo in terms of importance.

I know you're new here, and welcome! Just a hint: it's really not a good idea to bump old topics. Of the posts you've made, one bumped a four-year-old topic and this one bumped a three-year-old topic. If the topics dead, it's dead unless something relevant can be added (in this case, that walk around has been posted here many times before). I suggest you search before posting, lest you add clutter to the board.
