In regards to “rarest”, I would actually say that the “rarest” was a 7000 series. I have only seen one video of their existence and it wasn’t even in the US. (I don’t think anyway...) a c series single tone bolt only had a handful but they exist. A 90s bolt would have probably been similar except for maybe a touch of difference here or there but as pointed out, the “D series” bolt has conflicting evidence of ever actually making it past the drawing board/prototype stage. So anything made in the 90s I think would be safe to assume that it’s a C series.

You are on to something. All of them are C series in good condition. It's near Canton, which we know got the last production sirens (1990 1003s). These could be some of the last ones as well.

That does make sense. I know of three 7000s, but only one is left. One was atop a building in Detroit, one is in PA outside Wilkes Barre, and the other was a demo unit at one of Federal's factories. Where it was though idk. I'd assume University Park since I don't believe 7000s were a thing in the Blue Island days

Bringing this thread back to it's original topic...there is a thunderbolt 1003 at the sewage plant in Cloverdale, Indiana. Unknown if it's active or not but supposedly the county tests on the first Friday of every month at 11:00.
I was the one that found it. Unfortunately it was removed shortly after the street view was taken.

It seems to have been indirectly replaced by a 2001-130 at Cloverdale Park.

That stinks that it was replaced (not that I have anything against 130s.) The county that Cloverdale is in has the same test schedule as Indy so I figured I'd skip hearing 50 seconds of 2001s on the first Friday of the month and hear a Thunderbolt instead. But since that Thunderbolt is now another 2001 I guess I won't be going there any time soon.

There used to be a Thunderbolt 1003 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. There is also a Thunderbolt you missed in Louisville, KY at Zachary Taylor Elementary School. Good map by the way!

Zachary Taylor was removed this past year. Keep in mind that this map is for
existing units. As soon as we hear about one's removal, we update the map and remove said unit.

As soon as I saw that it had been removed, I tried googling it to see if I could come up with any news articles but couldn't find any.
How recently was it replaced? It was just recorded last year to my knowledge.
Of course I don't live anywhere near there, so I have no idea. Any reason why it was replaced? I'm guessing they put up a -130 to replace it? I'm interested to hear some info. That one had the lightning bolt decals on it too.
